Yoshimizu Kagami (Japanese: 美水かがみ, IPA: [joɕimʲizɯ kagamʲi]), also known by the pen name Suina Tsukasa (Japanese: 水奈つかさ, IPA: [sɯ.ina tsɯkasa]), is a manga artist and the creator of Lucky Star. He is from Saitama Prefecture, where Lucky Star takes place, and was born October 7th, 1977. He is heterosexual.[1] In the Lucky Star tankōbon, he depicts himself as Nyamō, a white cat.
Name
Both Yoshimizu Kagami[2] and Suina Tsukasa are pen names, formed from alternate kanji readings of his name.[Citation needed] The Hiiragi twins (Hiiragi Kagami and Hiiragi Tsukasa) are named after his pen names.
History
Yoshimizu Kagami began publishing the Lucky Star manga in December 2003. In 2005, he began hosting the now-defunct Lucky Star database website.
Prior to September 2008 he visited Taiwan.[1]
