Izumi Konata
Izumi Konata (Japanese: 泉こなた IPA: [izɯmi konata]) is the lead character of Lucky Star. She is an otaku—deeply dedicated to her interests but otherwise lazy. Thus, she enjoys reading manga, watching anime, collecting merchandise and cosplaying. She has long, blue hair with an ahoge and green eyes, and tan skin. She is quite neotenous; she is very short, is flat-chested, and has an immature personality.

Konata got a driver’s license after graduating high school.[1]
Relationships
Konata's best friends are Hiiragi Kagami, Hiiragi Tsukasa, and Takara Miyuki, and the latter two are her classmates. She is close to her cousin Kobayakawa Yutaka, and is friends with Yutaka's classmates Iwasaki Minami, Tamura Hiyori, and Patricia Martin, and the latter two are fellow otakus.
Konata lives with her father Izumi Sōjirō, and later also with Yutaka. Konata's mother, Izumi Kanata, died when Konata was very young. Konata is often visited by her other cousin, and Yutaka's elder sister, Narumi Yui.
